This is a replica of the Log cabin that Joseph Smith lived in when he had the first vision. The top window you can see is the window to the room where Moroni came to visit Joseph Smith. The Sacred Grove is to the back of this picture.

Story has it that the man who owned this land finally decided to sell to the church if the would build him any house he wanted. Right before the house was done he died and the house is now the mission presidents home and the temple is here.
