The Merrill's are having a ball!

We had a real ball this summer! We can't beleive the season is coming to an end. The following are some pictures of Madison and Taylor playing their first year of T-ball ... and experienced Jordan (I can't remember how many years he has been playing ... since birth?) playing baseball.

Run Taylor Run! (Imagine Jenny, from Forrest Gump, saying this.)

In this picture Jordan just hit the ball out to center field. If you look closely you can see where the catcher and coaches are looking to get an idea of how far he hit the ball. Way to go Jordan!

This is the first year Jordan did not play as the pitcher. He played third base (he is in the blue.)

Jordan is the good-looking kid third from the left on the top row.

Alora's Blessing

We blessed Alora on August 3, 2008. It was such a wonderful day! I was only sorry that ALL of our friends and family couldn't come!

Rich did such a wonderful job, and gave Alora a beautiful, heart-felt blessing. Afterwards, we went to our home and had lunch with our friends and family.

My dear, sweet sister-in-law made Alora's blessing dress, and she did such an awesome job. Thank you so much, Kappy!!!! We used the material from the train of my wedding dress to make it. The flower in the front is one of the flowers from the back of my train, where it was attatched to my wedding dress, with 3 more flowers on the back, and one on the headband.

Here is the back of the dress:

So pretty!

Alora's middle name is Afton, after my dear Grandmother. The little necklace she is wearing with the pink rose, had belonged to her.

Well, that is a picture of my friend Tara. I stress the word friend here. It's still a work in progress, I will just say that things are going well, I think. I'm kinda retarded in the dating category so let's try to not freak her out. She might come to Jackson (as long as no one minds) and she's a little nervous about meeting all 26 people at once. Funny story by the way, Megan is married and her whole family told me they wished it was me! Haha, ironic since they all thought I was a deadbeat... Anyways, I got that job as a manager at the indoor soccer place. That's good news, bad news is that the hours there suck and I'm pretty much going to have to work every night. Maybe I can start eating again now though, that'll be nice. Kids aren't signing up for my camps anymore so I haven't really worked much lately. Well, love you all! P.S. Lauri, Tami, you guys are nerds.
Dallon.

The Merrill's 24th of July

Below is a video of our 24th of July activities (8 minutes). We went to Island Park and Yellowstone National Park. Below the video is a slide show from when we went up to IP & YNP in June (2 minutes). Enjoy!

This is a primer, presented by Tami and Lauri, of basic boxing skills. Please note that the nursery rhyme is an important element of the sport.
